King Saud University Conference on Sustainable Development (April 6–7, 2026)

Poster Presentation & Prototype Display at KSU Conference on Sustainable Development

Our participation in the King Saud University Conference on Sustainable Development (April 6–7, 2026) (https://sustainabilityconf.ksu.edu.sa/) provided a valuable opportunity to present our latest advancements in electrospun nanofibrous membranes tailored for membrane distillation (MD). This study emphasizes the integration of energy-efficient technologies in desalination processes, addressing critical challenges in sustainable water treatment. By showcasing a research poster alongside a prototype demonstration, we highlighted both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of our modified MD system, illustrating its innovative configuration and operational principles, which were designed to optimize performance and reduce energy consumption.

The conference functioned as a dynamic forum for interdisciplinary dialogue, bringing together experts focused on sustainable materials and processes relevant to the water–energy–environment nexus. Engaging with peers and stakeholders allowed us to exchange insights on emerging trends, challenges, and solutions in sustainable development, reinforcing the significance of membrane technologies in achieving environmental and resource-sustainability goals. We appreciate the organizers’ efforts in creating a collaborative environment that fosters academic exchange and supports the advancement of research aimed at addressing global sustainability challenges
