The Center of Excellence for Research in Engineering Materials (CEREM), King Saud University, will host an online seminar titled “Effects of Gamma Radiation on the Tensile Properties of (PC) and (ABS) Polymers,” presented by Engr. Engr. Otsile Tikologo, an international visiting PhD student at CEREM, KSU, will present the seminar. The seminar will talk about how gamma radiation affects the strength and stability of polycarbonate (PC) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) polymers, looking at changes in their ability to stretch, their structure, and how they might break. Applications such as the medical, aerospace, and nuclear sectors, which expose polymers to high-radiation environments, can benefit from the findings.
